Cambridge Packing Company is strategically located in Boston, Massachusetts, where within a 200 mile radius, there are 12 million foodservice customers, (excluding the New York metro area). Cambridge Packing Company sells direct to the foodservice operator, who for the most part are larger independently-owner full-service restaurant, national and regional multi-unit restaurant chains, independent hotels & motels, national hotel chains in the northeast, caterers and in-plant contract foodservice operators, hospitals, nursing home chains, schools, large universities and private country clubs.
A typical customer will buy boxed beef, portion control custom cut steaks and chops, some processed items, provisions, seafood and specialty items. Cambridge Packing Company averages 11 line items per order (at an estimated $1,000 per order) and is the largest H.R.I. custom processor of meats in it's market.
The company operates from a "state of the art", federally inspected meat and poultry processing facility and a warehouse/distribution center where re-distribution of box-in/box-out, re-packing (break-bulk), and a seafood department re-package fresh and frozen, allows Cambridge Packing Company to offer small-box (by the piece) to full pallet drops for larger end-users.
